I thought to join the program to transform into managerial role with social cause and asked few questions coming into my mind. Here are the questions and answers I got.

Questions:
1. What is the selection criteria for this?
2. How much stipend one can expect from this?
3. Is there any difference in work and stipend based on experience?

Answers:
1. If you reside in India, are a graduate upto 28 years of age and are passionate about working towards India's social development, you are eligible for the programme.
2. All those selected for the programme receive a stipend of Rs. 12000 irrespective of their experience
3. Projects are alloted to the candidates based on their skills and abilities as well as the requirements of the NGO.

Hope this all will help you!

Right To Education For 6-14 Age Group Children

The Union cabinet on Thursday cleared the right to education bill. This will be introduced in parliament in December. After Right to Education (RTE) becomes law, education will become fundamental right for age group of 6-14.
Currently Right to Education is directive principle of the state policy.
Group of Ministers (GOM) decided, both the center and state would be responsible for finance. The GOM will consult the Finance Commission for additional resources.
This will have features, which prohibit teachers from undertaking private tuitions and not letting them for use in non-educational purposes (election duty, vaccination etc).
To monitor the implementation, the bill proposes national commission for elementary education. And it chairman will be appointed by a committee consisting of Prime Minister, leaders of Opposition in both houses of parliament and Lok Sabha Speaker.
This bill will cost nearly Rs 12,000 crore every year to the government. Private unaided school will also have to reserve 25% for the poor in the neighborhood.

BCCI and ICL (“Board of Control for Cricket in India” and “Indian Cricket League”)

War between BCCI and ICL will bring some good news for cricket game in India is what I supposed when ICL was formed. And this has happened. This has forced BCCI to increase match fee for domestic players. In near future it will also promote good cricket in India. This should help raising game standard in India.

Board of Control for Cricket in India has raised lots of money from cricket in India. Yet they are not very successful in improving cricket in India. World Cup 2007 debacle is a burning example. I hope Indian Cricket League (ICL) will be successful and this will become reasons for opening other councils for Hockey and other games.

Sex education in schools!

Provide Sex education in schools or not? This is the question for which every state in India are trying to find answer. All know the correct answers but no state is ready to fully accept the correct answer. Madhya Pradesh has implemented this education but after two years of running it they abolished it from school curriculum. Fundamentalist raised their voices against it and current political party at power don’t want to take risk know as they have to face election in near future.

With spiraling rate of AIDS in India, India needs this education at school level. But accepting new methods need courage and effort to initiate. It is different matter if some event or time throws change on you. Then people find alibi that it is not me but this & that reasons who are causing it.

I don’t understand why fundamentalists are called fundamentalists! Currently, so called fundamentalists are not holding any fundamental value.

Anyway In my opinion sex education must be taught in 10th standard, If not earlier. At 10th standard, people are much matured and they are already become aware of their sex. So instead of leaving them to learn sex practice from wrong source (cheap publication,) we should give them idea of what and how of sex. With sex education, maternity and paternity responsibility should be thought in simpler manner, So that every family can become correct first schools.
