Rebecca Black - Friday Friday, It is Time to Fun

Just watched the video song, sung by Rebecca Blank:

Seven a.m., waking up in the morning
Gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs
Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal
Seein' everything, the time is goin'
Tickin' on and on, everybody's rushin'
Gotta get down to the bus stop
Gotta catch my bus, I see my friends (My friends)

Kickin' in the front seat
Sittin' in the back seat
Gotta make my mind up
Which seat can I take?

It's Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend

Full Rebecca Black Lyrics.

Liked her, so here you also watch:

After success of Friday Friday, she got Saturday Saturday Song as well:

Headless Chicken Story and Idiom

Mike the Headless Chicken is a story of a chicken who lived long back without its head. His owner has severed his head to kill it but missed the axe a little. The chicken lived between 1945-1947. Chicken after its head severed off lived for 18 months.

The chicken was valued at $10,000 at that time. At the peak, the chicken earned $ 4500 per month.

Post Mortem story:
It was determined that the axe had missed the carotid artery and a clot had prevented Mike from bleeding to death. Although most of his head was severed, most of his brain stem and one ear were left on his body. Since basic functions (breathing, heart-rate, etc.) as well as most of a chicken's reflex actions are controlled by the brain stem, Mike was able to remain quite healthy. This is a good example of central motor generators enabling basic homeostatic functions to be carried out in the absence of the cerebral cortex. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_the_Headless_Chicken

Idiom:
like the headless chicken or like a headless chicken with its head cut off (America):
if you do something like a headless chicken, you do it very quickly and without thinking carefully about what you are doing (usually in continuous tenses)
I've got so much work to do - I've been running around like a headless chicken all week. He was racing around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to do the work of two people.

A Thoughtful Paragraph in Indian Context

Here I have found a thoughtful paragraph in Indian context. Every Indian should introspect on it and try to make it incorrect in future. This holds try now and proved true in past but we need to change it.

"The things we admire in men, kindness and generosity, openness, honesty , understanding and feeling, are the concomitants of failure in our system. And those traits we detest, sharpness , greed, acquisitiveness, meanness, egotism and selfinterest , are the traits of success . And while men admire the quality of the first, they love the produce of the second ." In these famous lines, John Steinbeck goes to the root of our present crisis in public morality.

There are different metaphor used from Mahabharatha and its characters. Article is interesting to read. Read the article here.

How to use tongue-in-check? examples

I got the figure of speech 'tongue-in-check' second time. It was difficult to grasp the usage of the tongue-in-check first time I read. The words in it is quite different than what it actually means. It is not too difficult either but it is not going inside me. Do you use tongue-in-check in your speaking or writing English.
Here is the meaning and usage of tongue-in-check with examples I collected from few places:

Tongue-in-check is used for statement not meant to be taken seriously. The facial expression typically indicates that one is joking or making a mental effort. It means cleverly amusing in tone as well. In chat or written text, tongue-in-check can be expressed using :P  symbol.

Example:
I have noticed that names of stories are very tongue-in-check.

A Joke - by Banta

AN OLD EMAIL I discovered, which is based on Banta Singh of Punjab:

Letter is from Banta Singh of Punjab to Mr. Bill Gates of Microsoft
Subject: Problems with my new computer

Dear Mr. Bill Gates,
We have bought a computer for our home and we have found some
problems, which I want to bring to your notice.

1. There is a button 'start' but there is no 'stop' button. We request you to check this.

2. We find there is 'Run' in the menu. One of my friends clicked 'run' he ran up to Amritsar ! So, we request you to change that to 'sit', so that we can click that by sitting.

3. One doubt is whether any 're-scooter' is available in system? I
find only 're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home.

4. There is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the door key and we tried a lot trace the key with this ' find'
button, but was unable to trace. Please rectify this problem.

5. My child learnt 'Microsoft word' now he wants to learn 'Microsoft sentence', so when you will provide that?

6. I brought computer, CPU, mouse and keyboard, but there is only one icon which shows 'MY Computer': when you will provide the remaining items?

7. It is surprising that windows says 'MY Pictures' but there is not even a single photo of mine. So when will you keep my photo in that.

8. There is 'MICROSOFT OFFICE' what about 'MICROSOFT HOME' since I use the PC at home only.

9. You provided 'My Recent Documents'. When you will provide 'My Past Documents'?

10. You provide 'My Network Places'. For God shake please do not
provide 'My Secret Places'. I do not want to let my wife know where I go after my office hours.

Regards,

Banta

Suno Aisha - a song from Hindi Movie "Aisha"

Some how I find, I try to do this some times:

This is a song from Hindi Movie - Aisha.

Full song here.

शान से चलो by - Rakesh

Just found a good poem  written by Rakesh and wanted to mention here for you. Read further to find the link to the original post.

Tu Jaane Na - sung by Natalie Di Luccio (Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani)

I got this video in Facebook via Sandeep Thakur. I think many of you will like to listen it. I appreciate the effort Natalie Di Luccio put behind this. Even if you may not like the song in her voice, I think it will be a fun to listen in her voice. I feel she has sung it beautifully.
