Office Politics

Are you someone who is confident of solving problem in your field? If yes you may face two-sided problem. One is you have to stand clear before management and another is you may face problem from people upper to you but close to management. This happens when you are really strong and people just above you and close to management are not confident and skilled in their job. Their low confident may be just a psychological problem or they really do not their job well and got and holding the position due to close relationship with management. These people cannot have confident to you because being confident about handling week and fool people is an easier task. Anyone can bribe him for anything. So these week people may get few un-assigned tasks from you. They will try to prove their superior that they are a well-wisher of you and in background they will try to destabilize you using their close contact with management. Assan na! (Very easy, isn’t it?). And as a techie you may find protesting against this kind of activity very boring.

Corruption in Office

In my 3.5 yrs of experience as Web Developer/Software Engineer I saw variety of corruption in office. These corruptions are part of our society and software companies are not untouched by it.
These are in plenty in small to medium level companies.

You may get corruption in these forms:

• You will not get credits of work you do


• Seniors may take all credits


• Seniors may prevent you from directly interacting to upper management or they may threaten you from telling anything there


• If you are laborious and little smarter then you may have to face resistance from others in your environment

These were all common kind of corruption in office in India.

Do you ever joined a company which is managed by a community

I know a company which is managed by a community and almost all managers belong to single community. There a fool who do not know how to pin point a single error as a tester can work with dignity because they belong to same community. But good thing is that either CEO owner do not know this, and they are not from same community. That community create conspiracy very well and manage the company mixing the management issue with their conspiracy. Even their outsource manager are fixed based on this.

Well established company till now is in e-commerce business. That community is eating very well the profit and will be their until pond of money is empty. They are looking for person who can work as a programmer. Yes they may be not be from their community. Because they can found a fool.

They support those people who are fool and support their cause.
