Don't Forget How you Supported Anna and his Dedicated Team

Now, Lokpal bill is going to pass in parliament and it will become a law, I request to all people who has supported Anna and his dedicated and intelligent team that do not forgot your good work and carry over wherever you go and whatever you do. This bill will enable few people to watch people in government and in judiciary but they can also become corrupt over time if you do not show anti-corrupt attitude. All the work will go waste and all money that is going to be spend on watch dog for anti-corruption will continue to go waste.

Our leaders are corrupt and dirty because we are like that in lesser extent. To handle people like us they need to be like that. Team Anna cannot say this otherwise you may not have supported them. So, they just pointed on few 'looking factual' thing. Ramdev baba just pointed on money stashed away in foreign bank. But the real point is corruption. Corruption will reduce and efficiency of government will increase only if we as common public carry it over. Government is dependent of bureaucrats. Then few people who work at high level of government offices and judiciary cannot dare to do at such extent. They are taking bribe in crores or lakhs of crores.

The burden lies to good people to unite and support other good people for good society. Only good people of our society can support good thing in society and they need to raise voice in common public for anything bad happening.

Yesterday, I came to know that Arvind Kejriwal has worked for activating RTI (Right To Information) at grassroot level. He is doing great work from long time in this regard. We will remember him for bringing this kind of most basic and important things. Now he has supported Anna and his team for bringing Jan Lokpal Bill.

Background of Jan Lokpal Bill

The word Lokpal was coined in 1963 by L.M.Singhvi, a Member of Parliament during a debate in Parliament about grievance redressal mechanisms. His son Dr. Abhishek Singhvi is now the head of the Parliamentary Standing Committee reviewing the bill. The prefix Jan (translation: citizens) was added to signify the fact that these improvements include input provided by "ordinary citizens" through an activist-driven, non-governmental public consultation.

The Lokpal bill was first introduced by Shanti Bhushan in 1968 and passed the 4th Lok Sabha (Lower house) in 1969. But before it could be passed by Rajya Sabha (upper house of the Parliament of India), Lok Sabha was dissolved and the bill lapsed. The Subsequent versions were re-introduced in 1971, 1977, 1985, 1989, 1996, 1998, 2001, 2005 and in 2008, but none of them passed. The bill is inspired of setting up an independent commission like Independent Commission Against Corruption (Hong Kong) (ICAC).
